The Galvin Family Reunion

John, Gehrig and I took grandmother to the Galvin Family Reunion in Storm Lake, Iowa this past weekend. We enjoyed visiting with our Galvin relatives from Iowa. Uncle Chuck took us on a tour of Aurelia where the Galvin's first settled. Our first stop was a turkey farm. It was very interesting to see 62,000 turkey's! When the turkey's reach their peak weight, they are sent to Sarah Lee's factory in Storm Lake for processing. It's kind of sad when you think about it - but oh well.
From there, we went to great-grandfather, John Galvin's farm. The farm is now owned by Jack Galvin, a 2nd cousin to my husband, John. Jack took Gehrig for a ride on the combine and old tractor once owned by John Galvin. Gehrig was in heaven! He really liked the farm! Gehrig cried when we left both farms as he was having too much fun!
Northwest Iowa is a very pretty area. Uncle Chuck and Aunt Lois were very good hosts. We enjoyed learning a lot about the history of the Galvin family.

You all will have fun at the aquarium, just beware, it is very crowded and you can't take a stroller in before 4:30. Reese had to walk and it was stressful trying to get her to hold our hand. I am not for sure about Saturday's, but just check their website and all of that information is on there.
