We were fortunate to receive tickets to the Yankees vs. Reds game last week. John has a friend who works for the Yankees organization. Oddly enough, I was seated next to one of the owners of the Yankees! We took this picture of his championship ring. When I was told he was one of the owners I got nervous then I remembered what a co-worker once told me, "they put their pants on the same way you do". It's true. The gentleman was very nice. We had awesome seats! And the Yankees won, too! The only thing that would have made it better is if my favorite player, Derek Jeter had been playing. Can't have it all!

My Sunday School Class
In February, I volunteered to teach the 3rd - 5th grade Sunday School class. I have really enjoyed it, but I think I've learned more than they have. This has been a tough age for me as I'm not sure if I'm reaching them. Every Sunday morning, I ask God for guidance. On June 5, we had promotion Sunday and I lost three of my students, but gained two more. I took some pictures as I intend to make a collage for our class.
TBall Season
We have really enjoyed baseball this year. Gehrig has played very well. He hits and fields well and helps the other kids, too. He has been asked if he would like to move up to the 6yr old league next year. We'll evaluate that decision when the time comes. We've been teaching him to wait for a good pitch. Well this last game, he did that. The crowd roared, "saying you go, make the coach pitch to you". While the other team coach said, "he does know there are no walks in Tball". Gehrig patiently waited and got his big hit!
Preschool Pre-Graduation
Gehrig's preschool had a year end party/commencement day. We are calling it pre-graduation since he will attending again next year. The teacher read an interview that each child completed. Gehrig told them his nickname is Genius, which got several chuckles including me. Afterward, I learned that his daddy has been calling him genius. Gehrig passed all the preschool equivalency tests and is doing very well. We were very pleased, proud parents.

Pegasus Parade
Gran, Gehrig and I went to see the Pegasus Parade this year. I used to watch the parade with my mother and grandmother. It was a lot of fun to share this my child and mother. The weather was perfect. It was a gorgeous day! Gehrig liked the big balloons the best. Look forward to attending next year's.
Our day with Big Red
Tball season begins
The long awaited T-ball season began on May 7. Gehrig has been practicing ever since we signed him up on January 31! He is playing for the Blue Jays this year. Gehrig was so excited to discover that three friends from school were on his team. This year the coach pitches to the kids. The first bat of the season and Gehrig fouled it right into his nose! He wasn't hurt, but it shook him up a bit. He played pitcher and did very well at fielding. The last bat of the night, Gehrig got a big hit. We were very proud parents!
