Reese - Gehrig Play Time

Cousin Time

Friday night, July 10, Cousins Reese and Ramsey came to our house to play. It was so cute to watch Gehrig and Reese "pretending" to be a family who goes to school with their baby (one of my old baby dolls). Then, Reese pretended to be a cheerleader while Gehrig played baseball! Reese took some good camera shots, which I will post on here. Ramsey is such happy, laid back baby - she just enjoys watching the action. We hope to have cousin time again soon!

Holiday World

Gehrig and I went to Holiday World with my friend, Susan and her son, Jaxson. The boys played so well together for two long days! We rode some rides and played in the splash park. We were blessed with two beautiful days!

4th of July

We celebrated 4th of July at Aunt Patty's and Uncle Mike's house. The kids had to have a picnic indoors this year due to the rain, but they didn't mind a bit. It was nice to visit with family and we had a most enjoyable day.

Fathers Day Outing

Fathers Day was a special day for all of us. Gehrig and I joined the College Heights Methodist Church that morning. We are very blessed to have found our Christian family. Then, John Sr., John, Gehrig and I went to Slugger Museum, the Olde Spaghetti Factory and to a Louisville Bats game. It was HOT at the game! Gehrig was really good and we all enjoyed it a lot.

Reese Birthday Party

Saturday, April 26, we celebrated Reese 3rd birthday at Freeman Lake. The theme was Dora and there were lots of little girls. Gehrig was a little shy being around all those girls, but Mason got him into the groove. He enjoyed playing with Mason a lot. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to visit with the family.

Easter

On Saturday, we kept telling Gehrig the Easter bunny would come to see him. He kept telling us "no" Easter bunny! When Sunday morning came, we told him the Easter bunny had come and left him a special basket. He didn't really understand but was excited to receive the movie "Incredibles"!

This year, our family went to my family church, Harned United Methodist and then had spent the afternoon with my parents. I am in the process of transferring my membership to Elizabethtown, so I did the scripture reading this Sunday as my private good-bye to the church I have been a member of for 43 years! This is a big step for me and a very emotional one, too.

Gehrig is really growing up and developing his own style. He has decided that he doesn't like the "cute" clothes that mommy does. It was battle, but he finally settled in to wearing the outfit I had bought for him to wear for Easter.

Gehrig enjoyed seeing his cousins, Joey, Jill and Adam and especially liked watching a baseball movie with Gramps. He was a little nervous about seeing him as Gehrig didn't like seeing Gramps in the hospital last week. Once he realized that Gramps is okay now, he was just fine. We had an enjoyable Easter visit!
